SCHOOL VISITS
On March 1st and 2nd schools will be given the opportunity to visit the Action Planet exhibition and participate in workshops, designed by some of our collaborators.
During the visit there will be a guided tour around the exhibition and 2 inspiring workshops. The first workshop will invite students to learn more about waste management in Malta – how the systems work behind the scenes and what their recycling can be transformed into. This workshop will inspire them to see “waste” as “resources” and will teach them how to make simple, yet important changes to make more conscious sustainable choices in their everyday lives.
The second workshop will give students an overview of the United Nation’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These goals were developed as a 15 year plan for all participating countries and address sustainability from a broader, global perspective. They focus not only environmental concerns but also socio-economic such as poverty, gender equality and education.
The workshops have been developed by Action Planet, Global Green Events, Wasteserv, Kopin, SOS Malta and Esplora.
The workshops are offered for children 7+ through to secondary. There can be a maximum of 75 students per visit. There are 2 school outings available per day.
