As part of the Action Planet initiative we promote the various organisations and NGOs that offer workshops connected to sustainability. Some of these workshops are offered in school, others on location. Please contact the organisers directly if you would like to arrange a workshop. The details of which are outlined below.
Vincent’s Eco Farm Activities
In today’s world, more emphasis is being given to the importance of educating students in ways that lead to a more sustainable future. Students need to be exposed to alternative, sustainable and holistic
methods of working towards such a future.
Vincent’s Eco Farm is dedicated to sustainability, soil rehabilitation and water conservation. Our farm is situated in Mgarr and we are fully certified organic. We take pride in promoting this holistic lifestyle,
and we are highly dedicated in teaching children how to live a ‘holistic’ life through creative activities.
We have been welcoming school visits on our farm for the past three years and we have seen with our own eyes the true experience these children feel when they are part of these outings.
We have various workshops which you can see below.
Please feel free to combine any three workshops which you think are suitable for your students:
Environmental
Seed Planting
Chicken Feeding
Creativity
Working with natural Clay
Music with recycled items
Holistic wellbeing
Yoga & Stretching
Smoothie making
Each school visit will take 2 to 3 hours. Children will also have a 30minute lunch break where they would be able to eat and wander around the premises.
The cost for each school visit would be €5.00 per person for any of the 3 workshops above.
Should you wish to visit the premises before, just let Claire know and she will be more than happy to do so. She will also be able to discuss further which package would suit your students best.
